According to the USDA, food instability affects nearly 1 in 6 people, including 29.1 million adults and 13.1 million children. VAPE has decided to do something about hunger in our community. We have partnered with The Road Home, a local shelter that provides services to the homeless in Utah. Each month for the next year, we will provide 180 lunches to the Midvale daycare location, enough to feed each child lunch for two days. The report card is in and five US cities have received top grades for being vape-friendly. According to a report issued by the R Street Institute, a Washington D.C. free-market think tank, the best city for e-cigarette businesses and vaping was Virginia Beach. This vacation hotspot was given an A+ based upon a lack of regulations, taxes, environmental prohibitions, and retail licensing regulations that make it easy to operate an e-cigarette or vape business. Amid all of the hubbub surrounding the presidential election, two largely overlooked propositions were on the ballots in California and North Dakota which could have major repercussions for the national vaping industry. Voters Raised the Tax on E-Liquids and E-Cigarettes in California Proposition 56 in California proposed raising the taxes on tobacco cigarettes by $2 a pack. Also included in the language of the bill was a tax of nearly 67% that would affect the purchase of e-liquid containing nicotine or items containing e-liquid with nicotine in addition to traditional nicotine products.
